The Potty Potter

A Potty Potter's Potted History

This is our tale of how it all began!

Once upon a time, a potter decided to build a garden shed in which to make pottery (and hopefully some money too!).  His wife suggested that "The Potting Shed" would make a good business name, since they were making pots in a shed, and all that.  The potter laughed, saying what a daft idea that was.

A month and a newly-built shed later, the potter proclaimed:

"I know, let's call the business "The Potting Shed".  Isn't that a great name?  How clever of me to think of it!"

"Brilliant" his wife said with a bemused grin, and a company was begun.

In that shed, many pots were made and sold until one day an idea was born which was to bring a little magic back into the English garden - a toadstool that tinkled!

Having crafted the first Tinkling ToadstoolsTM, the potter planted them in the garden to make sure they survived the frosty weather.  Soon, people came from near and far to buy the toadstools in all the colours of the rainbow, to add a little magic to their own gardens.

Before long, the mystical tinkling could be heard in gardrens everywhere. Having outgrown the shed, a larger pottery workshop was set up nearby and the potter had to recruit some Willing Workers to help meet the growing demand.

Over the years, demand continued to grow so the potter took a trip to a faraway land to seek even more help to make Tinkling ToadstoolsTM  and many new garden creations. The extra help meant that the local Willing Workers were now able to spend their time sending Potting Shed magic to gardens all round the world.

With everything running smoothly, the potter rested on his laurels (that's a posh word for it !) and retired . . .

-THE END-

 . . . Only joking !

The potter now has more time to dream up unique garden pottery designs for every changing season.  He always has a magical new idea up his sleeve !
